Elaine M. Moxlow

Moxlow, Elaine M. Age 95 of Grosse Ile was born June 5, 1920 in Canada to Samuel and Agnes (nee: Seguin) Cameron who preceded her in death and she died on October 24, 2015 at St. Joseph Mercy Health System. Beloved wife of the late George. Dear mother of Sandra (Timothy) Burke, Doreen (Robert) Moxlow-Harris, Karen Safavian, Timothy Moxlow, Mary Elizabeth (Keith) Boomhower and David (Renee) Moxlow. Proud grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 29. Loving sister of Doreen McKeon, the late Gladys Schlaff, Irma (Alex) Violassi and the late Francis Cameron and his wife Delores Cameron. Also survived by her spiritual daughter Laurie Gustafson as well as other loving family and friends. Elaine's love in life was her family; she was a gifted writer and many people benefited from the poetry she would write. She had a special talent as an interior decorator and turned every house her family lived at into a true home. Her philosophy regarding decorating was that you were not finished until the fresh floral arrangements were placed and she was especially good at arranging table centerpieces. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Grosse Ile. Memorial contributions to honor her memory may be made as the donor chooses.
