Obituary for Edwin Joseph Blackburn Jr. 2-11-39 to 4-1-2020 Born on February 11,1939 in Wyandotte, Michigan to parents, Edwin Joseph Blackburn, Sr. and Marjorie Britton. Ed "Bucky" was raised in Allen Park where he attended Allen Park High School. After graduation, Ed began his career in the steel business at Detroit Steel in the mail room, started a family and moved to Ohio. There he went on to become a top salesman. He also belonged to the Jaycees, entertaining at carnivals as a Jaycee clown. Ed moved back to Michigan, started a second family, and eventually became Vice President and General Manager of North American Steel Corporation until his retirement , went back to work, then retired again. He loved to play golf, bowl and his favorite game Keno. Spending time with his children and grandchildren gave him great joy and entertainment. Ed's sense of humor and larger than life personality will be remembered by all. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Sr. , and Marjorie (Britton, Blackburn, Angiolet) and sister, Emily Johnson. He is survived by his sisters, Marcia Collin and Marlene (Sue) (David) Reitzel, daughters Lori (Clara), Toni, Teri (Joe), sons Ed and Brett, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and long-time friends. A private Committal Service will be held at Michigan Memorial Park in Huron Twp, Michigan . A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
