Click on the tribute wall above to view Jack’s video tribute. Edward "Jack" Lezotte, age 87, was born on October 8, 1931, and raised in Rockwood by his late parents, Edward and Eyla Lezotte. From the young age of 10, Jack helped his father manage the boat rentals and deliveries in the Pointe Mouillee state game area. Jack served his country in the Navy from 1951-1955. He had hopes of seeing the world. He fought in the Korean War and served on multiple ships as a radio operator. He married his beloved wife, late Maxine Bone, in 1956. Jack worked for Great Lakes Steel for over 30 years as a millwright. He also served as a constable police officer. Jack was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed duck, pheasant and deer hunting. He was a world traveler and loved riding his motorcycle. Jack had many hobbies, including bowling, golfing and participating in the Senior Olympics. Jack was a proud sponsor of the Rockwood Historical Society and the Marshlands Museum & Nature Center. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4230. Jack leaves behind his longtime companion, Pat McCall. He was preceded in death by his former companion, Hildegard Stetson. He is survived by his five children: Don Lezotte (Liz), Kathy Clark, Ron Lezotte (Dottie), Jack Lezotte (Debbie), and Barb Lezotte. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
