Earl George Navarre Jr.

Earl George Navarre Jr., age 79 of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Born April 7, 1941 in Monroe, Earl was the son of Earl and Pearl (Emerson) Navarre. An Air Force Veteran, he married the love of his life, Cathy Moore, on April 22, 1966. Throughout his career, Earl worked for Consolidated Paper Company, Ford Motor Company, Hess Packaging and Michigan Box. He was a faithful member of St. Michael Catholic Church where he had served as an Altar Boy and later as an Usher. Earl enjoyed golfing, bowling and umpiring softball and had been inducted to the Michigan Amatur Softball Hall of Fame as an umpire. Earl leaves to cherish his memory, Cathy, his wife of the past 54 years; children: David (Victoria) Navarre and Amy (Brian) Salliotte; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and a sister Loretta Terrasi. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Elmer Navarre. Memorial contributions in honor of Earl may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
