Duke was born on July 21, 1955 in New York City and went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2022 at the age of 67; he was of Dearborn Heights. Cherished husband of 38 years to Elaine (Whiteside) Johnson. Beloved father of Alexander Johnson, Hannibal Richard Johnson and Roscoe Johnson. Proud grandfather of Jailyn Alexandrea Elliott, Andrea Elliott, Ziyan Mitchell, Janiya Saltor, Harmony Rain Johnson (and to her mother Taylor) as well as his goddaughter, Selah Mata "baby bunny". Also survived by his brothers-in-law; Ronnie (the late Crystal) Whiteside and Duncan Eric (Tina) Whiteside as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Hannibal Duke and Rose (Barrs) Johnson. Duke loved the Lord and his family; he enjoyed collecting comic books and super hero items. Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
