Dr. Thomas K. Mithoff

Mithoff, Thomas Keeth beloved Trenton resident passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2022 at age 93. He was born in Detroit, Michigan to Mildred and Henry Mithoff. He graduated from Redford High School, Hillsdale College and received his Doctorate degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1950. He was part of a line of three generations of Optometrists. His father Henry practiced in the Penobscot Building in Detroit. Thomas opened his practice in the 1950’s.He thoroughly enjoyed practicing for over 50 years. The 3rd generation Optometrist, his daughter Susan continues his legacy practicing in Trenton. He is survived by his wife Deloris of 68 years. Four children, Cary, Janice (Brian) Bambusch, Paul (Christine), Susan (Brian) Quade and grandchildren Brad, Holly, Curt, Thomas and Tyler and great grandchildren Ella, Iris and Hazel. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He shared with them his passion for golf, gardening, skiing and playing cards. He enjoyed working and living in the Trenton community. He was one of the founding members of the Trenton Hockey Association where he coached Hockey for several decades. He was involved in the Lions Club, Rotary Club and many other community organizations. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Penrickton Center for Blind Children.
