Douglas Paul Lesley

Douglas Paul Lesley, age 74, of Novi, formerly of Allen Park, France, Florida and Detroit, passed away on July 26, 2022. Cherished husband of Lisa Anne Lesley. Loving brother of Loraine Lee Lesley. He is preceded in death by his parents Casey and Stefanya Lesley and his in-laws D. James and Kathryn Greiner. Also preceded by his cousins Daniel A. Lukas and Karen Coggins. He is survived by many loving friends and family. Doug was a retired teacher from Dearborn Public Schools. He received the first DPS Outstanding Middle School Teacher of the Year Award in 1998. As a devoted catholic Doug was involved in the community by being a blood donor since 2000, nursing home volunteer, meals-on-wheels volunteer, eucharistic minister, altar server, parish usher served at funeral masses and an annual parish festival volunteer. He was an avid runner and participated in two marathons. He also served briefly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War era. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Capuchins.
