Doug Rogers

Douglas C. Rogers 87 of Detroit MI passed away Wednesday April 27, 2022. He died at home surrounded by loved ones. Doug was born June 28, 1934 in Four Mile KY to Irwin Rogers and Dora France. Doug is survived by his former wife Juanita Harber and their daughters Debi Hall and Arlene (David) Caldwell, 4 granddaughters, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Doug is also survived by his wife Paula, stepchildren Pamela (Norman) Opolsky, David (Tricia) Johnson and Kathryn (James) Hinman, 5 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and dearest friends Richard and Walid Fitiani. He was a loving Papaw with a heart of gold, Doug was preceded in death by his father Irwin, mother Dora, brother James, sisters Judy and Alberta and step granddaughter Jessica. Doug asked to be cremated and requested no service be held. Special thanks to Karmin Hoffman from Angela Hospice for guiding us so gently, allowing a loving and peaceful transition. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Michigan Humane Society.
