Dorothy Marcella Raspbury

Dorothy Raspbury, 94, of Riverview, MI died Monday, February 22, 2016. She was born June 26, 1921 in River Rouge, MI to Clifton and Martha (Jaeger) Snyder. On May 26, 1942 she married Orville Raspbury at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in River Rouge. He preceded her in death on September 17, 1995. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in River Rouge until it's closing in 2012. Surviving are her children Nancy (Martin) Wright, Ronald (Sharon) Raspbury, Janet (David) Jantosik, Gary (Sandra) LaFromboise, and Lisa Raspbury; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Mildred Sands and Mary Ann Vail, brother Charles C. Snyder, daughter Carol Gregoire and grandchildren Maxwell Greenspan and Wendy Vargas. Dorothy will lie in state beginning at 10:00am on Friday, February 26 with a Mass of the Resurrection to follow at 11:00am at St. Mary, Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 32477 Church St., Rockwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
