Dorothy Kaiser

Dorothy Kaiser, Age 94, of Stuart, Florida (formerly of Grosse Ile, MI), passed away

peacefully on April 4, 2025. Dorothy (Rensi) was born in Detroit, MI to Dave and Enice

Rensi (Filippi). Upon graduating from Southwestern High School in Detroit, she entered

the business world. While visiting family in Hawaii, she met her future husband, Charles

Kaiser, who was stationed in Honolulu with U.S. Army Special Services. Dorothy and

Charles were married in 1954 and later made their home in Grosse Ile, eventually

relocating to Stuart, Florida.

Dorothy was an avid tennis player and golfer, enjoyed many activities and loved to

socialize. She was a strong supporter of tennis programs on Grosse Ile for many years

and an integral part of the development of the tennis courts at Grosse Ile Golf & Country

Club in the early 1970’s. She was also active in the tennis and golf associations at

Stuart Yacht and Country Club in Florida.

Dorothy is survived by her beloved son Dean (Judy) and cherished granddaughter

Anna. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Charles of 53 years. In life

Dorothy was a very vibrant active person and it’s been said that one never needed to

wonder what was on her mind! She will be deeply missed and remembered by many.

Cremation with private family interment of ashes will be at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
