Melotti, Dorothy G. Age 94. February 1, 2016 of Allen Park. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Loving mom of Dr. Elaine Schmidt (Steven Bennett), Debra (Donald) Veryser and David Melotti. Mother-In-Law to Doris Melotti. Proud nana of Lindsay, Stephen (Loyce), Andrea (Bob), Kathryn (Ying), Matthew, Daniel, David William and Kevin. Great grandma of Justin, Abigail, Claire and Kai. Dearest sister of Joan Harsch, the late Muriel Fusco and the late Phyllis Althauser. Also survived by many loving friends. Dorothy was a graduate of Wayne State University and was a long-time member, treasurer and volunteer at Trinity United Methodist Church who enjoyed playing cards especially pinochle. She was an excellent hostess and loved having dinners and entertaining. Visitation Friday 3 – 9 pm and Saturday 10 – 11 am at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). Funeral Service Saturday 11 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to honor her life may be made to Helen Keller International or United Methodist Retirement Communities.
