Dorothy E. Manley

Manley, Dorothy E., age 88 of Traverse city(Formerly Allen Park), passed away November 24th, 2016. Beloved wife to the late Steven. Loving mother to David(Mary) Manley and Joe(Gail) Manley. Caring grandmother to Jason Manley and Jeff(Kristina) Manley. Loving great grandmother to Teagan Manley and Tanner Manley. Preceded in death by her brother Steve Floreck, and sister Mary Chorgan. Dorothy had many hobbies, including being an excellent Hungarian cook, cake decorator, candy maker, millinery(woman's hats) maker, card maker, orchid raiser, and also enjoyed rubber stamping. Her greatest joy above all in life was raising her 2 sons, and being instrumental in raising her 2 grandsons. Dorothy moved to Traverse City 4 years ago due to her dementia, and enjoyed the last few years of her life being surrounded by loving family members. Visitation will be Friday, December 9th, from 10-12pm, at the Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. A funeral service will then be held at 12 noon, followed by procession to Michigan Memorial Park for burial.
