Donna Lee Scheich

Donna Lee Scheich, age 85 of Maybee, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.

Born June 23, 1939 in Maybee, Donna was the daughter of Clem and Louise (Geoffrion) Straub. A 1957 graduate of Monroe High School, she married the love of her life, Joseph Thomas Scheich, on April 11, 1959. Sadly he preceded her in death July 20, 2021. A dedicated homemaker, Donna was a faithful member of Divine Grace Parish-St. Joseph Chapel. She enjoyed going the cabin on the lake on weekends, baking, making cookies, crocheting and going to the casino, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family.

Donna leaves to cherish her memory her children: Pat (Troy) Stein, Gerry Scheich and Gloria (Bob) Ryan; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; as well as 2 siblings: Janice Hoffman and Denny (Chris) Straub; and a sister-in-law Donna Straub. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Sandy Wertenberger and a brother Charles “Bud” Straub.
