Donn Louis Cardy

Cardy, Donn Louis, age 95, died March 21, 2013. He was born in Ecorse, MI and spent his life in Trenton. Beloved husband of the late Constance. Father of Connie Lou (David) Ogg and Robyn (Nick) Tonkin. Grandfather of Jennifer, Angela and Nora. Great grandfather of Alura, Austin and Jack. Brother of Clare E. (Maude) Cardy. Uncle of Amy Mullins. Preceded in death by parents Clare E. and Mary A. (Reabe) Cardy and sister Helen Hertel. He was in the US Army from 1940-1945 and during WWII served in the Pacific Theater. Donn was MP branch and was proud of being on duty when the Filipino guerillas came down from the hills to meet with General MacArthur upon his return to the Philippines. He was a faithful Elder of Faith Bible Church, a member of Trenton Masonic Lodge, and a past Commander of Trenton V.F.W. Post #1888. He retired from Detroit Edison in 1980 after 44 years.
