Click on the tribute wall above to view Donald's video tribute. Donald Ray Anderson, 78, gained his heavenly wings on August 12, 2019 at his home in Riverview Michigan. He was the devoted husband to Donna Jean (Carter) where they shared 58 years of marriage and were blessed with three children. Don was a loyal, hard-working man that adored his family. Born in McVeigh, Kentucky, he was the third child to late Homer and Erie (Hurley)Anderson and dear brother to the late Homer Wilson and to his wife Emogene, Homer Ted (Barbara) and Charlene (the late, Charles) Adair. He was a loyal employee of General Motors for 43 years as a tool maker. A strong man of character, integrity and quick witted humor. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife Donna; his three children; Lois (Zoltan) Nemeth, Donald Jr (Barbara) Anderson and Sandra Anderson. His eight Grand children; Ryan Cossin, Shannon Anderson Hay (Jordan), Candice (Aron) Maddox, Melissa Nemeth, Lindsey Kleinsmith (Kris), Drew Anderson, Casey Vanover and Delaney Vanover and his six Great Grandchildren; Zoe Cossin, Chase Maddox, Chloe Maddox, Ruby Kleinsmith, Wren Cossin and Emme Klaege. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, August 15 at 5 PM at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard), Allen Park. The visitation service for friends and family will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 11 AM to 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Elara Caring Hospice.
