Donald L. Flora

Donald Leslie Flora, 83, died January 20, 2014 at his home. A native of Brownsville, Texas, son of the late Oscar Merritt and Hazel Cress Flora, he was a member of Heritage Bible Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen Mitchell Flora of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Jill Flora of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Darrell and Cynthia Flora of Bellingham, Washington; two daughters, Karen Flora of Greenville and Phyllis Flora of Canton, Massachusetts; a brother and sister-in-law, Merlin and Mary Nell Flora of Loveland, Colorado; four grandchildren, Allison Hingst (Kris), Skyler Flora, Tina Flora, and Grace Flora; and one great-grandson, Jacob Hingst. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Bible Church, conducted by Rev. Dan Brooks. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy, Michigan at a later date. Visitation will be held 1:30-2:45 p.m. Thursday at the church. The family request that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Conley Library at Heritage Bible Church, 2005 Old Spartanburg Road, Greer, SC 29650 or Bob Jones University Division of Art and Design, 1700 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29614. A special thanks to Lisa Kay for her care and loving support. Funeral services in Michigan will be Monday, January 27, 2014 at 12 noon at the Allen Park Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes.
