Donald J. Bezeau

Donald J. Bezeau, age 91 of Monroe, passed away peacefully at Medilodge of Monroe. Donald was born December 22, 1926 in Monroe, MI to William and Leona (Lazette) Bezeau. He married Dorothy Mahn at Fort McClellan in Anniston, Alabama on June 23, 1945. Donald worked for 34 years as a machinist at Teledyne, formerly Continental Aviation, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed camping, dancing, and playing and working bingo. Donald was a member of the Fraternal Order of The Eagles #2254, the VFW Post 1138 and the Knights of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroe. Donald leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 73 years Dorothy Bezeau of Monroe; 9 children Ronnie Bezeau, Don (Linda) Bezeau, Dennis (Yvonne) Bezeau, Randy (Lydia) Bezeau, Wayne (Pam) Bezeau, Eddie Bezeau (David Pietrzyk), Robert (Michelle) Bezeau, Rich (Kathy) Bezeau and Patty (Tom) Laughlin; 41 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren; 40 great great grandchildren and a brother Bobby (Rose) Bezeau. Donald was preceded in death by his parents William Sr. and Leona Bezeau; 4 siblings Bill, Darrell, Eugene and Rita; a daughter Pam Bezeau and a son Mike Bezeau. Friends may call Sunday from 1:30-9:00pm at The Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm Ave. The St. Anne's Men's Club will be reciting the rosary Sunday at 6:00pm. Funeral service will take place Tuesday 12 noon at the funeral home. Fr. Philip Ching from St. Michael Catholic Church, Monroe will officiate. Interment with military honors from VFW Post 1138 will take place Tuesday at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
