Donald F. Pushman

Donald F. Pushman of Riverview, died March 28, 2019, of Alzheimer’s Disease. Beloved husband of 56 years to the late Dorothy – who preceded him in death by 34 days. Loving dad of Kristen (Jeff) Skutnick and Todd (Barbra). Dearest grandpa of Kelsey Skutnick, Erik Skutnick, Alicen Pushman and Molly Pushman. Dear brother of Jim (Kay) Pushman, Suzanne (Robert) Roach, Janice (Jim) Piwok, Brian (Kay) Pushman, the late Neal Pushman, Elly (Bob) Brekke, Nancy Pushman and Kris (Cindy) Pushman. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Youth Ministry in Trenton, Michigan. Don served in the Navy Reserve for six years as helicopter Air Crew for air & sea rescue and anti-submarine warfare. Don was President and owner of Turner Products, and a lifetime member of the Detroit Club of Printing House Craftsmen as well as recipient of the Ben Franklin Award. He was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Southgate, MI, as Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, elder, treasurer and chairman. Don made many friends through his years of playing tennis at the Grosse Ile Racquet Club, Park Colony Club and Downriver Racquet Club, frequently organizing tournaments and teaching tennis classes. He served as assistant coach at Cabrini and Gabriel Richard in Riverview to both boys and girls varsity tennis for ten years. Don loved vacationing, downhill skiing, long distance bicycling, and spending time with family and friends.
