Donald Dean Schreiner

Schreiner, Donald D., age 83, December 18, 2010 of Allen Park. Beloved husband of the late Virginia. Loving father of Patrica Ann Garner and Douglas Dean (Susan) Schreiner. Also survived by his brother Jerry (Dottie) Schreiner, grandchildren Herb and Ben Garner, Joseph (Martina) Schreiner, and Christy Lanahan, great grandsons Alexander, Zachary and Ethan, nieces, nephew, grandnieces and ,grandnephews. Contributions in memory of Donald's life may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Michigan. Donald graduated from Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Missouri. He was a farm boy who traveled to Ajo, Arizona to work for Phillip Dodge copper mine. From there he went back to Missouri to work at the Mississippi Lime Plant in St. Genevieve,MO. After that he worked at Martin Marietta Materials Co in North Carolina, was plant manager at Marble Head Lime in River Rouge,MI, and electrical inspector for the cities of Dearborn, River Rouge, and Allen Park,MI. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Clara, wife Virginia, sisters Alene and Shirley, and brothers Harold and Roger.
