Donald A. 'Doodle' Farris

Donald "Doodle" Farris was born on May 31, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan and died at his home in Detroit on February 11, 2018 at the age of 69. Beloved father of Kathy (Carlos) Velasquez, Kimberly Farris, Sherry (Johnny) Fischer and Stacy Pilarski. Proud grandpa of Michael, Marissa, Alexa, Cord, Manuel, Jayne, Anthony and Matthew. Dearest brother of Roberta and Sharon. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his beloved mom Florence and his father Arthur. Donald retired from General Motors after 40 years of service. His family was his love in life. In his younger years he loved to go bowling and he excelled at the sport; he also had a love for animals. Memorial contributions to honor his life may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A video tribute will be added, please check back.
