Dominic F. Cicero, Jr.

Dominic F. Cicero, Jr. 77, of Monroe, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. He was born June 12, 1941 in Monroe, Michigan to Dominic F. Cicero, Sr. and Ruth (Swartz) Cicero. Dominic attended Monroe High School. He married Mary (Pat) Britton February 24, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroe. Dominic was employed at the Monroe Beer Cooler, Danny's Foods and Monroe Coca Cola and Monroe Beverage Company as a driver salesman, retiring in January 1996. Dominic was a life member of the VFW Post 1138 Auxiliary, Member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for 74 years and Monroe Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, cooking, listening to blues music, collecting beverage memorabilia and was also an avid fast pitch softball player in Monroe and Maumee, Ohio. Dominic leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary (Pat) Cicero; 3 children Barbara Ann (Ricky) Benson of Monroe, Brenda Jo Cicero of Maybee and Dominic F. Cicero III of Monroe; grandchildren Mary Kay (Brandon) Steele of Tennessee, Anthony Scott Benson of Monroe, Micaela May Domosle of Dundee and Jonathan Avery Domosle of Maybee; great granddaughter Samantha Olivia Steele of Tennessee; brother Frank (Beverly) Cicero of Monroe; sisters Ann Keck and Margaret Cicero both of Monroe and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dominic was preceded in death by his parents and brother Alexander Cicero and sister Priscilla Cicero. Friends may call Sunday from 3-8pm at The Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm Ave., Monroe. He will lie in state Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church from 10am until the funeral mass at 11am. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or VFW Post 1138, Monroe.
