Denny Armstrong

Click on tribute wall above to view Denny's memorial video. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Denny was the son of Virgil and Marie (James) Armstrong. After graduating from high school, he faithfully served our country with the United States Navy from April 29, 1958 until May 9, 1963. Denny then married the love of his life, Noreen Messett, December 4, 1965 in Antigua. Together they lived in Lincoln Park for many years, until moving to Tecumseh in 1993. Sadly she preceded him in death May 17, 2015. Denny worked for over 33 years at General Motors, retiring in 2000 and was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 22. He enjoyed working on his property, visiting family in Tennessee, going for long drives and taking care of his dogs. Denny leaves to cherish his memory a son Leslie (Tracy) Armstrong of Gibraltar; a half-sister Debbie (Bill) Grubb of Fowlerville; sister-in-law Judy Armstrong of Lincoln Park; as well as his nephews: Dale (Gayle) Armstrong of Riverview and Scott Armstrong of Lincoln Park. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Armstrong. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Denny may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County or your local animal shelter.
