Delmer John Perotta

Perotta, Delmer John, age 84, of Allen Park, MI, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2017. Delmer is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Joan. He is survived by 3 children Joseph (Martha), Annette and James; his grandchildren Lenny (Sue), Theresa (Keith) and Jeremiah and 3 great grandchildren Tyler, Cole and Dean. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Emma, 1 brother Tommy and 1 sister Lena. Delmer served his Country from 1953 – 1955 in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a faithful member of the Robert H. Jones Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight for 4 years. Delmer retired from General Motors after 38 year of service and after his retirement he served on the Allen Park City Council and was active in many other charitable organizations. He will be missed by his family, friends, pets, community and Country. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. Interment Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church or to Knights of Columbus Charities.
