David W. Wright

Wright, David W. Age 82 of Melvindale was born on July 19, 1933 in Isabel, South Dakota and died on November 18, 2015. Beloved husband of 58 years to Janet. Loving dad of Dawn (Greg) Ordus, Jeanne (Karl) Schieltz, Heidi (Steven) Brown, the late Pamela Wright, David (Michelle) and the late Matthew. Proud grandpa of Ryan, Katie Beth, Meghan, Austin, Lana and Evan. Great grandfather of Kelsey, Jamison, Alexis and Kaylee. Also survived by two brothers John and Cyril Wright. Preceded in death by his aunt and uncle Pete and Cecelia Elioff who raised him and his parents Matthew and Lucy Wright. He will be missed by his dog Jazzy. He was a proud member of the Shriners and the Knights of Columbus. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and sports cars. Visitation Sunday 3 – 9 pm with a Rosary 7 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). David will lie in state Monday 10:30 am at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Melvindale. Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
