David T. Taylor, Jr., 92 of Canton, MI, formally of Lincoln Park entered eternal life on March 5, 2017. He was preceeded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ruth W. Wilson. Both were members of Divinity Lutheran Church, Detroit, MI, where they met and were married on June 18, 1949 by Ruth's father, Rev. Thomas Wilson. Beloved father of David Taylor (Sue), Carol Bishop (Richard), Linda Levengood (Dennis), Janice Kelly (Patrick). Beloved grandfather of Ryan Taylor (Meighan), Kara and Erik Taylor, Susan, Steven and Sarah Stiles; Audrey and Scott Levengood; Jay Kelly (Nicole), Katie and Kyle Kelly. Beloved great grandfather of Dan and Logan Bernecker, Rachel Kelly and Ellerie Taylor. David was born on November 11, 1924 to David T. Taylor, Sr. and Amelia M. Taylor in Detroit, MI. Beloved brother of Marilyn Taylor and Marie Timmons and preceeded in death by siblings Dorothy Bruso, Ruth Novkov, Marian and Robert Taylor. David was a graduate of Henry Ford Trade School, an Army veteran of WWII, an avid golfer and model railroader. He was an ink formulator and retired from Flint Ink Corp. in 1988. His beloved wife Ruth, his family and friends and his Lord were the joys of his life. Memorial gifts in David's name can be made to: Great Lakes Caring Hospice Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, The Salvation Army Bed and Bread Club/Eastern MI Division or Angelica Lutheran Church.
