David Edmund Kaczan

David was born on December 12, 1954 in Dearborn, Michigan and died on December 11, 2016 at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital at the age of 61; he was of Southgate. Beloved husband of 33 years to Cheryl. Loving father of Michael A., Christine and Melanie. Cherished son of Mary (nee: Siglar) and the late Alexander. Dearest brother of Michael E. (Kathleen), Carol (Fred) Napier, Susan Young, Kathleen Kaczan and Elizabeth Kaczan, also survived by his nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one sister Marion Kaczan. David graduated from Riverview High School in 1973 and went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan; he was employed at BASF. David was a dedicated man to both his family and his church. He loved to take family up north to the lake and snowmobiling and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses. Visitation is on Friday from 1 – 9 pm with a Vigil Service at 7 pm, both at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. David will lie in state on Saturday at 12:00 pm at St. Cyprian Catholic Church until the Funeral Liturgy which will begin at 12:30 pm. Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
