Kelley, David A., Sr. Age 72 currently of Lincoln Park, Michigan was born September 8, 1942 in Wyandotte, Michigan and grew up in Hohenwald, Tennessee; he died on September 23, 2014 at his home where he was lovingly cared for by his family. Beloved husband of 49 years to Lillie Mae (nee: McLain) who he married in Rockingham, North Carolina on April 10, 1965. Loving dad of David, Jr. (Sherry), James (Janet), Kenney (Tina) and Jennifer. Proud papaw to Jamie, Jr., Leah, Gabriel, Andrew, Joey, Eliana and Evelyn and also a proud papaw to his step grandchildren Joshua, Jeremy, Tommy and Catherine. Step great grandfather of Vinnie, Aiden and Liam. Dearest brother of Carolyn (the late Norman) Williams, Evelyn (Butch) Brewer and Kathy (Chuck) Gill. Also survived by other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Aaron Prophet and Mary Elizabeth (nee: Qualls), one brother Wiley, two sisters Ruth Kelley and Melba Ashworth, his first son (stillborn) as well as two granddaughters Kimberly and Katelyn. David retired from Marblehead Lime Company in River Rouge; was a long-time supporter and member of the New Heights Church as well as being an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the DWF (Downriver Walleye Federation) and enjoyed working with wood as well as collecting antiques, he saw value in everything.
