Darlene Villarreal

Darlene Villarreal, age 68, passed away January 7, 2025. Born December 26, 1956 in Detroit, to Sylvester Trent and Phyllis Cupp. She married Thomas (Tom) Villarreal on September 3, 1977, and have been together for 47 beautiful years. They welcomed three children together, Tina (Villarreal) Yancey, Thomas Villarreal Jr., and Nicole Villarreal. Proud Nana of Ahnilee, Kendyl, Madison, Brialyn, Cadence and Thomas III. Dear sister of Donna (Sue), the late Billy Dwayne, Randy, Palma (Pam), the late Donald (Dino), the late Asa, Tammy, the late George (Butch), and the late Patricia (Patty). She is survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Darlene will be remembered as being spunky, with a trendy personality. She had a heart of gold, and loved with her entire being. She was naturally a caretaker and took pride in having a home that was considered the "comfort zone" and a safe haven for many.

She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and getting dressed up to go to concerts or watching live bands. Darlene adored traveling; such as camping, family vacations and simply laying on the beach for hours. She loved spending time with her family, watching scary movies with her grandchildren, and hosting the annual Halloween Night Dinners. She loved food, whether it was cooking, going out to eat or indulging in her favorite sweets. She had a green thumb and took great care of her indoor plants and trees.

Darlene was an amazing wife, mom, and nana.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Darlene to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and or Michigan Humane Society.

Visitation will take place at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes on Monday, January 13, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Tuesday, January 14, 2024 from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 12:00 pm.
