Dane Michael Christensen

Born May 10, 1989 at Wyandotte General Hospital. Dane was the son of James Christensen and Julie (Jenkins) Christensen, both of Monroe. A 2008 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School, Dane went on to pursue a career as a Drug Rehabilitation Counselor at Summit Detox Center in Boynton Beach, Florida. Having overcome that life previously, he was able to guide others from that dark back to the light. Dane not only opened up his heart but also his home to help those in need of guidance; he loved life, lived every day to the fullest, and was an inspiration to all that knew him and his infectious smile, as has been attested to by postings on Facebook. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing up north, playing video games, reading and spending time with family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents; his sister Hannah Christensen, whom he lovingly called "Squirt", of Monroe; grandparents, Gene and Madeline (Mignano) Jenkins of LaSalle, girlfriend Sidney Meadows of Frisco, TX, aunts and uncles: Jenise (Kurt) Steinman, John Jenkins, Ken (Diane) Christensen; and cousins: A.J. Steinman, Kelsey Steinman, Jacob Jenkins, McKenzie Jenkins, Tom (Emily) Christensen, Nick Christensen, and Trevor Christensen.
