Dalvin Charles Arnold

Born in Monroe, Dalvin was the son of Adolph and Pauline (Krueger) Arnold. A 1945 graduate of Monroe High School, he faithfully served his country in the United State Army from 1946 until 1947 as a Crypto Technician. Dalvin was stationed in Korea, Guam and Hiroshima receiving the WWII Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He worked for some 10 years at Consolidated Paper Company before joining the Monroe Police Department. Dalvin was with the department for over 27 years, retiring in 1987 after serving as Chief of Police from 1979 until his retirement. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and enjoyed bowling, NASCAR and playing cards, especially Euchre. Dalvin leaves to cherish his memory his children: Randy (Sue) Arnold of Crestview, Florida, Gary (Pam) Arnold of Monroe, Trever (Teresa) Arnold of Dearborn Heights, Vicki (Dave) Eby of LaSalle, and Lori (Dave) Arnold of Daytona Beach, Florida; twelve grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and his longtime companion Huguette Clevinger of Monroe. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents, a son Alan "A.J." Arnold; two grandchildren: Elizabeth Pauline Arnold and Michael Arnold; as well as two brothers: Richard Arnold and Leroy Arnold.
