Dale Edward Cousino

Born in Monroe, Dale was the son of Adolph & Gladys (Arquette) Cousino. He married the love of his life, Alice Blanchett, on May 11, 1957. During his working career, Dale was with Old Kent Bank for 20 years, an Insurance Salesman with Prudential for over 20 years and lastly a Blackjack Dealer at MGM Casino in Detroit. Over the years, he had a strong commitment to his community with involvement in many groups and organizations: he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockwood and the Parish Council, the Rockwood Rotary Club where he held many positions including Vice President and President, Rockwood City Council, Gibraltar School Board, Rockwood Historical Society, Floral City Harmonizers, and Board of Directors for People's Community Hospital Authority. Since his diagnosis with Prostate Cancer he founded the Prostate Cancer Support Group at the Josephine Ford Cancer Center and participated in the center's Art Group. Dale leaves to cherish his memory, Alice, his wife of the past 57 years; a daughter Dana (Jamie) Cousino-Lingle of Wheaton, Illinois; three grandchildren: Olivia Lingle, Holly Lingle and Austin Lingle; as well as two sisters: Rita Cousino-Sprague of Ypsilanti and Dorothy Cousino-Draftz of Grosse Ile. Sadly Dale was preceded in death by his parents and a son Alan Cousino. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Dale's honor are asked to consider the Josephine Ford Cancer Center.
