Cyonne Bernice Shores

Beloved wife of the late Leland Shores, passed away March 29, 2008 at her home in Brownsville, Texas at the age of 77. Cyonne was born April 13, 1931, the oldest daughter of Reta Robinson Newell & Ivan Newell. She graduated from Melvindale High School and then married her true love, Leland Shores on July 3, 1950. They built their first home on Williams St. in Taylor. She was active with her 4 sons in competitive roller skating & cub scouts. They moved to Monroe in the mid sixties. Cyonne was a talented artist & avid reader. She volunteered with children in Monroe & Texas for literacy & child safety. She is survived by her sons Richard(Mary Kelly) Brownsville Tx, Jonathan & Cheryl)Caro MI,Kevin(Brenda)Dearborn MI, Leigh(Mary)Port Huron MI; grandchildren Timothy Shores,CA, Mrs. Kate Blenner,Washington DC,Douglas, Lauren & Jenne Shores,Caro MI, Andrew Shores, Port Huron MI & Bryce & Kaylin Shores, Dearborn MI; Great Grandson Blue Koffrons, Oak Park MI. Also survived by her sisters Carol(Sheldon)Singer & Jackie(Bruno)Smoke.
