Clinton Ray Brant, age 91 of Monroe, passed away December 20, 2022 in his home.
Born December 7, 1931 in Scofield, Clinton was the son of Frank and Martha (Richmire) Brant. He married the love of his life, Marian Durocher, on November 8, 1952. Sadly she preceded him in death December 12, 2013. Clinton faithfully served our country in the United States Air Force from December of 1950 until December of 1954.
Clinton leaves to cherish his memory his children: Jane Brant, Gary (Janet) Brant, Mark Brant, John (Lori) Brant, Susan (Bob) Lehmann, Cathy (Roger) Fairchild, Steve (Juli) Brant and Tom (Stacey) Brant; 24 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; as well as a brother Charles Brant. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 5 siblings: Jack Biccum, James Brant, Carl Brant, Margaret Eby and Dorothy Eby.
Clintons' full life was a cornucopia of events & activities. He was a gardener & tree planter, as well as a serious collector of coins & fruit jars. Dad was a dedicated family first husband & father, but always found time to hunt for deer & mushrooms with sons & grandsons up north. Dad & Mom provided a stable and admirable family guidepost and were always available to freely give support and encouragement. As each child married and created their own pathway, new family trees are maturing. The fruit from those trees, all 62 and counting, are the ultimate tree plantings of his life. We see bits of Clinton Ray in all of his children as well as the greats and the grands. We are so proud of his legacy and our memories of him. With love and thankfulness we will miss you, Dad, in our lives.
In accordance with Clinton’s wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes-Liedel Chapel. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
