Clement "Clem" Wierzba

Clement Jacob Wierzba of Allen Park was born on January 28, 1926 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Bronislaus and Josephine (nee: Biniarz) Wierzba and died on January 2, 2016 at Beaumont-Dearborn at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Albina and the late Betty. Cherished brother of Nina (Gene) Ringler. Also survived by his nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. In addition to his parents and wives he was preceded in death by three brothers Leonard, John and baby brother Thomas Wierzba and one sister Gertrude Wierzba. Clem proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired as a chief clerk for the railroad. He was a member of the Father Saylor Knights of Columbus and a long-time and faithful member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. His family was his love in life and he enjoyed his frequent rides with his sister Nina; he enjoyed attending festivals, listening to polish music and dancing. Clem was an excellent gardener who was a perfectionist about how his garden and grass were maintained. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 – 8 pm with a Rosary Tuesday 7 pm both at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). He will lie in state on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 9000 Laurence, Allen Park from until the time of the Funeral Liturgy which will begin at 10:30 am. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wyandotte. Memorial contributions to honor his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research hospital.
