Lewis Claudia J. (Gerres), age 73, embraced eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Claudia was kind, loving, optimistic, and endlessly grateful throughout her life. Those of us who had the honor of knowing and loving her have been blessed and will miss her dearly. Claudia never missed calling or sending a card for anyone's birthday, anniversary or special day of any kind.She was never out of touch with those she loved. Her genius regarding Astrological signs always amazed us. She is survived by her dear nieces Dani Lynn (Gerres)Sudekum (Robert) and Michael Ann (Gerres) Gauthier, grand-nephews, Joseph, Andrew & Samuel Sudekum, Aunt Eleanor Bellovich, and many cousins, friends and former co-workers. Those who have gone to heaven before her are her beloved Brother Joseph Gerres, Mother Elizabeth (Bellovich) Gerres, Aunt Clara Bellovich,Sister-in-Law Amber Gerres, Scott Gauthier, cousins Steven Bellovich and Patty (Bellovich) Schlangerand Leo Schlanger, many other aunts and uncles, grandparents, and her much-loved cats Chloe Rose and Casey June. There is no doubt they are having a heavenly homecoming celebration. Claudia will remain in our hearts and memory until we join her in the company of Jesus. A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, March 4, 2016 at St Pius X Catholic Church, 14101 Superior St, Southgate, MI 48195. Burial to follow at Mt Hope Memorial Gardens, 17840 Middle Belt Rd, Livonia, MI 48152.
