Clarence "Chuck" Chronister of Monroe and formerly of VanBuren, MO died after a lengthy illness at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital on August 10, 2015; he was 82 years old. Chuck was born in VanBuren, MO to Henry and Lenna (nee: House) Chronister on January 14, 1933; his parents preceded him in death. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army during Vietnam; on September 3, 1966 in Orchard Lake, MI he married Patricia Ann Krzesowiak and they celebrated 49 years together. In addition to his wife he is survived by his brother Joe Barfield of Wentzville, MO; three sisters Dorothy (the late Paul) Brown of Arnold, MO, Donna (the late Willie) Lavely of Fenton, MO and Lavaunda (the late Ray) Carlton of Florissant, MO. He is the dearest brother-in-law to Debra (Tom) Bogdanski of Detroit, MI and Michael (Carol) Krzesowiak of West Branch, MI; the uncle of Kelly Krzesowiak of Dearborn, MI and Michael (Tonia) Krzesowiak of Southgate, MI and the great uncle of Alex, Sergio and Dominic. Also survived by his daughter, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends; he will be missed by his dogs Hershey and Snickers, 6 cats and 2 birds. Chuck was employed as a meter reader for many years with Ameren Electric Company and retired in 1996. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting. Funeral service with Military Honors is Friday 12 pm at The Allore Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm, Monroe. Visitation is Thursday 3 – 9 pm at the funeral home.
