Claire Eileen Boutain

Dr. Claire Eileen Boutain (Gauthier), age 95 of Riverview. Born in Lake Leelanau, Michigan passed peacefully in Wyandotte, Michigan on October 2, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Louis Boutain.

Loving, devoted, cherished and beloved mother to the late Gary (late Pam) Boutain, Gloria Harland, Barbara (Geert) Wenes, Patricia Smith, James (Denise) Boutain, Richard (Barbara) Boutain, and Marie (George T.) Sherfield. Loving grandma to fourteen grandchildren and great-grandma to many. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd., Allen Park, MI 48101, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Rosary time is at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 6, 2023 at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, Riverview, MI at 10:00 AM. She will lie in state at 9:30 AM.

Dr. Claire has donated her body for scientific research to Wayne State University, her alma mater.

Donations in her honor may be made to Capuchin Soup Kitchen or Solanus Casey Center.
