Click on tribute wall above to view Ciara's memorial video. Ciara Schmedding, of Detroit, passed suddenly on January 17, 2022, at the young age of 25. Beloved daughter of the late Anthony “Skip” Eliel and Desiree Schmedding. Cherished sister of Jazmyne, Tony and Emilio. Proud Auntie of Juliet “JuJu”. Dearest granddaughter of the late Peggy Faletti, Joseph Faletti, William Schmedding, the late Diane Brown, and George Brown. She is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends. Ciara carried a gift in life that allowed anyone, even strangers to fall in love with her. A “wild child” persona with a zest for life, love, and a passion for spur of the moment adventure. One of Ciara’s loves was the beach. Her happy place. She would persuade anyone, even new people she just met to hop in a car or an airplane and run to the beach. Her personality exuded unique character. Often laughing in the face of adversity, self-proclaimed “hot mess”. Ciara’s contagious laughter would fill a space letting you know instantly in a crowded room she was there. Her obscure taste for weird things, dark humor, and a dirty frame of mind would make even the strongest blush. She enjoyed painting, attending music festivals and writing. Her imagination would come to life through art. She took pride in her tattoos with each one painting a story. Ciara loved thrifting and creating timeless looks. Always pairing those looks with winged eyeliner, a pop of lip color and painted nails. A lover of life and cherishing every moment to the absolute fullest. She was every part of a free spirit. Leaving a piece of her everywhere she went. She mastered the art of making friends with every stranger in the room. However, her mom was and will always be her first love, her very best friend. Ciara grew up watching The Little Mermaid. She loved mermaids. Her momma would often sing Part of Your World and you would catch Ciara singing alongside, even if it were out of tune! Her passion for animals ran deep. Alchemy, her german shepherd, Benji the cat, and her newest addition Peggy the kitten, were like her own children. Ciara wouldn’t want the world to mourn her passing. She once posted a status, “Since forever isn’t forever, let’s just vibe till whatever.” She should be here vibing till whatever. She will be deeply missed.
