Chester E. Elkins

Chester was born on February 12, 1947 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Paul and Lou (nee: Dutton) Elkins and died on January 8, 2016 at Beaumont Hospital-Dearborn at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Theresa for 44 years. Loving dad of Christopher (Jennifer) Elkins, Charles Bates, Gary Bates and James Bates. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one brother Paul (Shirley) Elkins and one sister Rose (Bennett) Greenslait. Chester served his Country in the United States Army and worked as a truck driver and truck mechanic. He loved anything to do with NASCAR as well as collecting NASCAR items. There are no scheduled services. Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
