Charles "Bud" Runyon

Born in Monroe, Charles was the son of Joseph and Marcille (Nixon) Runyon. A graduate of Monroe High School, he faithfully served his country with the United States Army. Charles married the love of his life, Christine Swanson, in August of 1975. Charles spent most of his career as Store Manager with Runyon's Carpet for over 45 years, retiring just 2 months ago. An avid sports fan, Charles enjoyed watching football and baseball, but most of all he cherished time spent with his family. Charles leaves to cherish his memory, Christine, his wife of the past 40 years; children: David Runyon of Monroe, Raymond Swanson of Tennessee, Daniel Runyon of Monroe, Melissa (Lonnie) Matte of Ontario, Canada and Robin (Douglas) Benore of Monroe; 13 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren; as well as 2 sisters: Glenda Koths of Monroe and Judy Reece of Oklahoma. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents and a son Richard Duvall.
