Charles Atkins

Charles Atkins, born in Malta, formerly lived in Detroit, most recently from Trenton, MI peacefully passed away Monday June 26, 2023 surrounded by family.

Loyal and beloved husband of the late Judy Atkins. Father of four: Rene (Bob) De La Rosa, Mario (Ana-La Bamba) Atkins, Lina (Jon) Cosmas, proceeded in death by Tony Atkins. Proud Nanu of Derrick, Christopher (Alyssa), Anthony, Elida, Robert, Kyle, Charlize, Mariana and the late Ashley. Proud great grandfather of Amelia and Juliette.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William & Concetta Atkins. Cherished brother to Mary, Evelyn, and Tony proceeded in death by Ines, William, George, and Joseph.

Charles has had many life-long friends most that were like family, he valued each and every one of their friendships.

We do not want to forget to mention mans best buddy "Rocky" who was a loyal companion and aide.

Until his passing, Charles remained independent, was still driving, shopping and was super excited to travel to his homeland (Malta) to visit his family. in early August. He never gave up on winning the "big one" and he never gave up on the Detroit Tigers- He didn't miss a game. He drew his strength & energy from his family and never missed a big family gathering or event.

Visitation will be at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes- Trenton Chapel on Friday June 30, 2023
