Charles A. Klingelhafer

Charles was born on July 28, 1943 in Galion, Ohio and died at Beaumont Hospital, Trenton on June 9, 2018 at the age of 74; he is a resident of Trenton. Beloved husband of 52 years to Marilee. Loving dad of Mike (Fran), Alan (Karen), Diana Klingelhafer and the late Steven Gregory. Proud Papaw of Jace and Drew. Dearest brother of Dave (Carla), Fred (Susie), Martha (Les) Limmer and Ken (the late Dianna). Also survived by many other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Paul and Rose (nee: Lamb) Klingelhafer. Charlie graduated from Galion High School in 1961. He attended Carnegie Tech and graduated with a bachelors in industrial management in 1965. He was an industrial engineer in the steel industry for over 37 years, retiring in 2002. He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed photographing trains and ships. He also enjoyed volunteering at the local elementary schools reading with kids. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Visitation is on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton, MI 48183. Charles will lie in state at St. Philip Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 12:30 pm until the time of the funeral service which will begin at 1 pm with Pastor Branden Hunt officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in Galion, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to honor Charles' life may be made to the church of the donor's choice or to the cancer research charity of the donor's choice.
