Cena Bell Woods

Cena Bell Woods, born on May 10 th , 1928 to George and Mary Gurganus in Oakman, Alabama.

Sadly, she passed on December 5 th , 2024 in her home surrounded by her loved ones at the age

of 96 years young. Cena Bell was a woman of faith who dedicated her life to her church, family,

and friends. She was known by all for her kind, generous heart, loving nature and the joy she

naturally spread to others.

Preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Carl Frank Woods, her adored grandson,

Christopher Michael Woods and beautiful granddaughter, Jessica Marie Hamilton.

Cena Bell is survived by five beloved daughters: Wanda Gail (Ken) Hall, Janace (Claude)

Lavoie, Lillian (Mickey) Hamilton, Wilma Dean (Steve) Drury, and Kathy Lynn Baldwin. Along

with her brother Pete Gurganus.

She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Scott Hall, Karla (Billy) Jablonski, Tim (Jennifer)

Hall, Michael (Stacy) Lavoie, Mark (Chrissy) Lavoie, Matthew (Heather) Lavoie, Lynn (Steve)

Pappalau, Christina Hamilton, Tony Hamilton, Emily (D.J.) Watson and Elizabeth (Dwayne)

Woodward.

She was blessed with many great grand children who stole her heart.

The family will be celebrating the life of Cena Bell Woods with a visitation on Monday, December

9 th , 2024 and a funeral service on Tuesday, December 10 th , 2024 at Ray Ridge – Martenson

Funeral Home in Trenton, Michigan. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Michigan

Memorial Cemetery.
