Carolynn M. Mallia

Carolynn of Gibraltar, formerly of Novi, devoted and loving wife and mother, passed into eternal life on March 17, 2022. She was 67. Carolynn was born October 14, 1954, in Detroit, to the late Arey and Carmel (Whelan) Potter. She married Anthony Mallia on April 17, 1982, at Coronado Baptist Church in Detroit. Carolynn lovingly supported her beloved Tony and their son, Christopher, as wife and mother for over 40 years. May her kind and beautiful soul rest in peace. Surviving are her beloved husband of nearly 40 years, Anthony "Tony"; her cherished son, Christopher; as well as many cousins and a multitude of friends. The Mallia family will receive guests at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, downtown Farmington, on Sunday, March 27, from 2-7 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 28th, from 2-7 pm, at the Martenson Funeral Home, 3200 West Road in Trenton. Carolynn's funeral ceremony is planned for Tuesday morning, March 29th, at 11:00 am (in state 10:00 am) at Huron Baptist Church, 30300 Olmstead Road, Flat Rock. Interment will take place Wednesday afternoon, March 30th, at 2:30 pm, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes are suggested to the Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas or Rock of Gibraltar VFW Post #4230 Relief Fund.
