Carol Jean Tilley

Born in Wyandotte, Carol was the daughter of Miles and Fern (Cox) Laura. She was a graduate of South Rockwood High School (the year she graduated she was one of six in the graduating class and was the Valedictorian that year). Carol then married the love of her life, David "Jim" Tilley Jr. on June 29, 1950. Sadly he preceded her in death July 29, 2016. Carol was a faithful member of the South Rockwood United Methodist Church where she also had taught Sunday School. She had volunteered for veterans services, crocheting Lap Blankets for veterans in the V.A. hospital and also had volunteered at the library at Ritter Elementary School. Carol leaves to cherish her memory her children: Lynda Elliott of South Rockwood, David Tilley of South Rockwood, Nancy Cobb of Tampa, Florida, Dan (Kim) Tilley of South Rockwood, Susan (Bill) Clark of South Rockwood and Teri Borawski of Lake; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial contributions in honor of Carol may be made to the South Rockwood United Methodist Church.
