Cameron: Carol Ann Martin Kermath: Age 74 of Grosse Ile; January 02, 2010 Our beautiful mother passed away after a courageous year long battle with cancer. Carol was born in Dearborn, MI, graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Dearborn and Marygrove College, Detroit. She was crowned Miss Michigan State Fair by then Governor G. Mennen Williams. While in college she had a successful modeling career in advertising. Following her graduation from college in 1957, she married Dr. James E. Kermath. After his death in 1972 she entered a successful career in Real Estate. Married to Dr. Hugh Cameron in 1974, our family grew to be known as the Kermath-Cameron Clan. She loved to cook, travel and spend time with her family and friends. Beloved wife of 35 years to Hugh; loving mother of children: Joan Kermath Eddy (David) of Mill Valley, CA, Jeff (Diane) Kermath of Saline, MI, Linda Downey of Trenton, MI, Deborah (Andrew) Beljan of Bradenton, FL, Bob (Ann) Cameron of Winter Springs, FL, Scott (Amy) Cameron of Clarkston, MI, Craig (Heidi) Cameron of Kalamazoo, MI, David (Kristy) Cameron, Grosse Ile, MI. She is also survived by her sister Kay (Steve) Bamrick; 22 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Katherine Martin, her first husband Jim Kermath, daughter Holly Cameron; brother Pete Martin, sister Jeannie Van Loozen Cahalan and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the loving staff and Oncology Unit of the Cancer Center at University of Michigan and the many professionals and friends who helped care for her this past year.
