Carlis D. Herrington

Carlis was born on December 16, 1927 in Stanford, KY and died on September 9, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital Trenton at the age of 92; he was of Taylor. Beloved husband of the late Trevelyn. Loving father of Keith (Sharon), Kevin (Karen) and Kendall (Deborah). Proud grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 14. Also survived by many other loving family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents Aquilla and Effie (nee: Laswell) and 8 brothers and sisters. Carlis was a long-time member of the Gateway Church of Christ where he served as an elder; he loved reading his bible and studying scripture. His family was his love in life; he also enjoyed golf. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 12 noon until the time of the service which will begin at 1 pm both at the Gateway Church of Christ, 14950 Northline Rd., Southgate, MI 48195. Entombment Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, Huron Twp., MI. Memorial contributions to honor Carlis’ life may be made to the Gateway Church of Christ.
