Candy Daugherty

Candy was born in Freeburn, Kentucky on February 23, 1945 and went Home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2021 at the age of 76; she was of Romulus and formerly of Lincoln Park. Beloved Wife of the late Jakey. Cherished Mom of Jodi, the late David and to her Angel Baby Jacob. Proud Grandmother of Caleb (Kacey) and Gaga of Adrian. Dearest Sister of the late Ruth Mounts, the late Geraldine Daugherty, the late Freddy Holley, the late Jack Holley, the late Bobbie Staton, Dot Holley and the late Oscar Holley. Dearest Sister-In-Law of Jackie Holley. Also survived by her nieces, nephews, other loving family, friends and Church family. She was also preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Nellie (nee: Dalton) Holley. Candy graduated from Matewan High School. She loved God and cherished her family; Candy also loved singing in Church and watching Hallmark movies. Visitation is on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 3 PM – 8 PM at the Restoration Pointe Church of God, 11501 Allen Rd., Southgate, MI. The service to celebrate her life will be on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 11 AM at the Church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The visitation and service will both be at the Church. Interment Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Huron Twp., Michigan. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to WWOC, 6771 Westpoint, Taylor, MI 48180.
