Calvin was born on June 5, 1921 in Belleville, Illinois and died at his home in Trenton on October 14, 2020 at the age of 99. Beloved husband of the late Ethel (nee: Muir) and the late Jeanne (nee: Traube). Loving dad of Bonnie (Lee) Lewis, Kathie (Larry) Rieder, the late Calvin S. Isselhardt and Michael (Angela) Isselhardt. Proud grandfather and papa of Leslie (Pat) Denton and Jeremy (Merissa) Szpaichler. Great grandfather of 10. Also Survived by many other loving family and friends. Also preceded in death by his parents William and Amanda (nee: Wasem) Isselhardt and four siblings. Calvin served his Country as a Pilot in the United States Navy during World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Family was his love in life and he loved baseball; Calvin was part of the 1938 Belleville Hilgards American Legion State Champion Baseball team in Belleville, Illinois. Visitation is on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Service on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 12 pm both at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. Entombment Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions to honor Calvin’s life may be made to the Yankee Air Museum. To those attending visitation and/or services for a loved one, in keeping with CDC and State of Michigan DHHS guidelines, masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) in the chapel must be followed and will be enforced.
