Bruce H. Suydam

Bruce H. Suydam, age 56 of Monroe passed away November 14, 2017 at his home after a short battle with kidney cancer. Bruce was born in Monroe, Michigan October 3, 1961 to Bobbie and Janice (Brodbeck) Suydam. He married Stephanie Gilday August 1, 1987 in Monroe, Michigan. He worked in the banking industry for over 40 years, most recently as a consumer underwriter with Flagstar Bank. He was past secretary of the ATV Off Road Club of Michigan, served on the Exeter Township Zoning Board of Appeals. Bruce also enjoyed riding ATV's and off roading and was an avid gardener. Bruce leaves to cherish his memory his wife Stephanie; daughter Abby (Tim) Florian of Monroe; son Craig (fiance' Alicia Doyle) Suydam of Westland; grandson Adam Florian of Monroe; parents Bobbie and Janice Suydam of Newport; siblings Mark Suydam of Newport, and Barbara Ginther of Erie. Friends may call Friday 2-8pm at The Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm Ave., Monroe. Funeral service will take place Saturday 11am at the funeral home. Fr. Bob Singelyn from St. Mary Catholic Church, Monroe will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe.
